Happy New Year everybody. We're doing fine, hope you're too! After relaxing time off it's now time to rehearse new material and make plans for the rest of the year. After the break it's been great to get together in our headquarters and play some loud rock'n'roll. We have lots of new riffs and melodies, some new gear, new cover songs, good spirit. "Fool For Rock" video is now ready. We have loaded it on this website at video -menu and at
youtube.com.
The video was recorded in Hittegods headquarters a week ago. It was done on one take from
beginning to the end and we're very proud of that. The director and cameraman was
Joppe Nummela, who did a great job in capturing that groovy feeling there and then. A
very big hand to him for awesome job. Please check it out, we hope you like the video
and the song!
We're editing "Supernatural Man" video material at the moment as well in order to
release that in the very near future too.

Hello everybody!
It's been a great summer once again up here in the land of the midnight sun. We've had plenty of wonderfully warm and sunny days, lazy days and crazy nights spent with our families and dear friends. We've taken some time off just enjoying life, listening to good soul and reggae music, eating good food, talking and dreaming, travelling a bit. Now the summer is fading but Hittegods are rising from its ashes, ready to kick some serious arse with our hard rocking, soul ripping music that we live for.
We've had some crazy, sweaty, shivers-down-our-spine rehearsal sessions and it's easy to tell it's our destiny to play these songs for you guys. We've practiced a couple of surprises for the next gigs in late October in Forssa and Hanko, check out the LIVE -menue for details. We're really looking forward to getting there, seeing your faces and rocking out together! We also have some plans to shoot some new videos for youtube, stay tuned for them. We made final recordings in early January after which we took extra care with mixing and mastering. We feel very good about the songs and like we've said before, this time we think the songs sound more Hittegods than ever before. More instruments and more amplifiers were used, more ideas were tried and more takes were recorded in order to improve the songs and the sounds. This clearly paid off since we are happy with the way things worked out and now it's interesting to see what you have to say about our new material. We wish you find the time to check the new songs out and we hope you like them! Hopefully many of you can come and see us live this spring, check the dates on gig menu.

Our latest studio session went very well and we'll start mixing new material soon. Songs sound excellent and a big extra thank you belongs to Matti at Big Fat Studios for a job well done. Hello there!
Greetings from the studio. Backing tracks for our forthcoming EP have now been recorded. HP recorded his drum tracks at Jiffel Studios, Espoo and Anssi his bass tracks at Basement Studios in Malmi, Helsinki. Recording engineer was Matti Kemppainen with whom we mixed our live show from Tirmo Blues Festival last summer. Matti did an excellent job and the whole three day session went great without any extra hassle. Drum and bass tracks sounded great and we promise you that the new material will ROCK!!! Mikko will record his guitar parts and vocals in December. The new material will be released early next year. We also recorded a video for “Live And Learn” ballad from our previous EP. We are now cutting the tapes it in order to release the video in YouTube later on this year. Thanks to Vellu for shooting the video.
The next show will take place at Ralli Restaurant, Pihlajanmäki, Helsinki on Sat 20 November. Be there!

Brothers and sisters,
Weeks come and go fast now but fall is a great season for writing and practising music with the band. After successful gigs in Vantaa and Kerava it's now time to get ready for our next studio session in October-December. We have decided four new songs which we'll record and last minute arranging is now under way. Our goal is once again to improve our package in all areas from sound quality to song arrangements and we are ready to work hard to make that happen. We are naturally very excited about the new songs and we feel that this time they really sound like us, Hittegods. The new songs should come out in late January or early February after which we'll start gigging again.
We have also included three new live videos in the Videos -menu. The videos are from Tirmo Blues Festival in Porvoo last summer, they were shot by Jerry Hellström and edited and cut by Vellu Korkiakoski. Soundtrack was recorded on Pro Tools by Big Fat Production. Thanks Sami and Matti for the sound and Jerry and Vellu for video material!
The last gig this year will take place in Ralli Restaurant in Pihlajanmäki, Helsinki on Sat 20 November. Be there then, let's kick some serious ass there together! Please take note that our gig in Boothill, Helsinki on 15 October has been cancelled due to noise complaints given to the restaurant for their earlier gigs.

Hi!
It’s been a hell of a summer, we’ve enjoyed the heat and holidays a lot. Thanks for all of you who were supporting us in Espa Park and in Tirmo Blues. Was great to play rock and roll in front of so many people while the sun was shining and everybody was smiling and having a good time. Great gigs we’ll remember a long time.
Next gigs take place in Old Story, Vantaa (Tikkurila) on Friday 20 August and Robin’s, Kerava on Saturday 11 September. We hope many of you can make it there, let’s have a big rock-party together.

Hello boys and girls!
It’s been a while since the last update but here we go (again) now. We played several gigs this spring and we had a lot of fun. Especially in Nummela our show was something special. We’ll remember those crazy dancers and that Black Jack Woman for the rest of our lives. Mikko’s extended and improvised guitar solos among the audience on the dance floor impressed everybody, including band members. Oh, and those mature motorcycle maniacs in Ralli Restaurant were something else! They wanted us so bad it hurts. In Pub Pete we had a professional photographer with us but she forgot to shoot our faces! And so on. Good places, good people, good times. That’s what Hittegods are all about.
We have some new material now well finished and ready to be tested on the road. Studio dates are being discussed but nothing confirmed yet. Best way to listen to the new songs is to hear them live!
We are now eagerly waiting for the shows in ESPA PARK, Helsinki on 19th June and TIRMO BLUES, 9th July. Be there! You will not be disappointed if your heart is still beating and you believe in rock and roll music. Some more live dates have been added in the calendar for the fall and more is to follow, stay tuned.

Hi everybody!
Was great to see old friends last Friday at Hard Rock House. Thanks for being there, it was a hell of show and a good start for our spring tour.
We have now booked several new live dates for this year, you can check out the Gigs menu for more details. Our live set is now in very good condition and it feels great to get to play new venues this year. We're rehearsing and arranging new songs and it looks like we’re going to studio again next August or September. We have a clear picture what we want to do and yes, it's gonna be classic hard rock in the spirit of 70's and 80's masters with that special Hittegods edge!
We hope to see many familiar faces together with new people in our live shows. Please check out new dates and be there!

We are very happy with our latest "You Reap What You Sow" demo/EP and it's now been distributed to media and record companies everywhere in order to take the band forward. We're also rehearsing our new live set for the fall and a couple of new dates have been added there too. We were in the studio at the end of April and recorded four new songs. Sessions took place in Soundtrack studios in Helsinki where drums and bass were recorded and in “Neveland” studios in Porvoo, where guitars and vocals were recorded. The producer and engineer was Olli Kykkänen, ex Royal Tramps guitarist and well known for his work with Peer Günt and Los Bastardos Finlandese. The tracks were recorded are called “You Reap What You Sow”, “Live And Learn”, “Now And Forever” and “We Shall Never Surrender”. We really enjoyed our time in the studio and are very happy with the results. New songs are of course added in our gig set immediately. The material is now being mixed and will be released shortly. Plans to shoot a new video for one of the songs are also under way.
The gigs we played this spring were all successful and we look forward to play live again next autumn. Five gigs have already been booked and we’re especially excited to play On The Rocks in Helsinki again 28th of August. Mikko will also perform in Firmarock 2009 finals in October as the frontman and lead singer of Finnsatiaiset band.

The gig in Hämeenkyrö was cancelled but we’re looking for another booking to replace that. We are now booking more gigs for April-May plus festivals in the summer.

New songs are rehearsed and arrangements are getting ready little by little. Working titles of the songs are “Ballad”, “Grunge” and “Fast” that give you some idea of what they’re like. The band is now recording the rehearsals in order to develop songs and playing before going to studio later on this spring. Everybody is exited about the next gigs and negotiations with festivals next summer are under way.

Happy new year to everybody. Looking back we are happy with the year 2008, many good gigs, well-received “Flower Power” –demo and video took us forward in many areas. We’ll dedicate January 2009 for rehearsing news songs and live sets. We are now planning going to the studio in April-May. The atmosphere inside the band is good and we’re exited about the new songs, which are somewhat different from our previous material.
